The official meeting of the General Assembly of the Doctoral School of Automatic Control and Computers (SD-AC), on December 15, 2020, will address fundamental strategic and administrative topics for the functioning, evaluation and development of the academic and research community within the doctoral school.
The agenda of the meeting will include five main points.
1. Defense of doctoral and habilitation theses: analysis of the current process of writing, public defense and awarding of doctoral degrees, as well as the organization of the habilitation procedures necessary for teaching staff and researchers to obtain the right to supervise doctorates.
2. Organizational regulations of the SD-AC: evaluation and updating of the internal regulatory framework regulating doctoral activity. It covers the rights and duties of doctoral students, the responsibilities of doctoral supervisors, the administrative standards and academic criteria necessary for carrying out activities.
3. SD-AC self-evaluation: internal analysis of academic performance, research activity and the fulfillment of quality standards. The self-evaluation process is essential for identifying strengths, remedying deficiencies and preparing for periodic institutional accreditation processes.
4. Doctoral school visibility: increasing the impact and image of SD-AC at national and international level by publishing results in prestigious journals and conferences, participating in representative research projects and attracting new valuable candidates.
Miscellaneous: Free discussions on current and administrative aspects of the academic life of doctoral students and teaching staff.
The essential academic management aspects of SD-AC will be presented: the rigor of the evaluation of doctoral theses, alignment with current regulations, quality assurance through self-evaluation, and the promotion of scientific performance.
