Counseling and Guidance

Career Counseling and Guidance Center

POLITEHNICA Bucharest supports diversity and equity through the Career Counseling and Guidance Center (CCOC) and the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Center, two essential institutional structures that support students according to their individual needs and circumstances.

CCOC provides psychological, educational, and vocational counseling, supporting students in managing their academic path and developing personal and professional skills. Its activities include individual counseling sessions, thematic workshops, vocational assessments, and guidance in educational decision-making.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Center

The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Center plays an active role in ensuring equitable access to education for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, students with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. It works with faculties to adapt educational resources and develop specific interventions to support these students.

POLITEHNICA Bucharest ensures equitable opportunities for all students, in line with their potential and aspirations, while doctoral students comply with the regulations on the organization and conduct of doctoral studies at POLITEHNICA Bucharest.

Teaching, Research, and Training Activities within SD-AC

Teaching, research, and training activities are adapted to the individual potential and interests of doctoral students, giving them the opportunity to build their research path in line with their own aspirations. The diversity of learning styles and abilities is taken into account through:

flexibility in choosing research topics and doctoral supervisors;
access to a wide range of educational resources (digital libraries, databases, online platforms, research laboratories);
participation in scientific activities (workshops, conferences, summer schools) tailored to each doctoral student’s field of interest;
individualized support mechanisms (tutoring, mentoring, academic and career counseling, advisory and academic integrity committees, international mobility, student camps);
compliance with the principles of inclusion and non-discrimination, in accordance with national legislation and institutional regulations.

Commitment to Equitable Opportunities

POLITEHNICA Bucharest promotes equity by ensuring fair access to education for young people, regardless of their background or other risk factors.

In this regard, all doctoral students have access to high-quality educational resources and opportunities developed within SD-AC (curriculum), regardless of their social, economic, or geographical background, so they can overcome obstacles and reach their full potential. Through these measures, the doctoral programs within SD-AC demonstrate a commitment to ensuring equitable opportunities for all doctoral students, regardless of prior experience, learning style, or specific needs, including students with disabilities or socio-economic difficulties.
