Excellence in research, doctoral education and innovation
The Doctoral School of Automatic Control and Computers (SD-AC) within the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest (IOSUD POLITEHNICA Bucharest), established in April 2012, organizes advanced doctoral studies in the fields of Computers and Information Technology and Systems Engineering.
More than 400 doctoral students across the two fields are supervised by over 65 doctoral supervisors, renowned figures in the fields managed by SD-AC. Throughout their doctoral thesis of funding through participation in research and development projects, scholarships offered by the relevant ministry or through various government funding programs, as well as private scholarships offered by companies.
SD-AC hosts international doctoral students every year, and some doctoral theses are carried out under joint supervision with universities around the world and through partnerships with companies in the field.
