Academic Mobility

The Doctoral School of Automatic Control and Computers supports the international collaboration experiences of its doctoral students by providing access to tools that facilitate obtaining funds and scholarships for research stays and exchange experiences abroad, in accordance with the regulations of IOSUD POLITEHNICA Bucharest and the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest. Travel requests are managed through the travel.upb.ro.

IOSUD POLITEHNICA Bucharest Funds

These funds can be accessed from the 20% share of the doctoral grant dedicated to research activities carried out by doctoral students, including their national and international mobility. The funds are allocated for each doctoral student and each academic year of the doctoral stage, in accordance with the methodology and administrative information provided below.

Mobility Programs and Opportunities

SD-AC doctoral students can access several international mobility programs, depending on their academic and research objectives.

ERASMUS+

Erasmus+ is a European Union program for 2021–2027. Details and updated information about the possibility of obtaining such a performance-based scholarship can be found on the university or faculty website. Mobility is based on inter-institutional agreements concluded between POLITEHNICA Bucharest and partner institutions holding the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education. Doctoral supervisors should be consulted when selecting the appropriate host institution, in line with the objectives of the doctoral thesis.

CEEPUS

The Central European Exchange Program for University Studies (CEEPUS) is an academic mobility network in the wider Danube region. It funds the mobility of students and academic staff for exchange experiences.

The Fulbright Program offers exchange opportunities for doctoral students and researchers for study, research, and teaching in the United States. Scholarships are awarded competitively based on performance criteria.
