The presentation delivered by the SD-AC Director during the general assembly, on behalf of the Council of the Doctoral School of Automatic Control and Computers (SD-AC), will provide an analysis of the organization, administrative processes, and academic initiatives for the year 2025.
2025–2026 Admission Process
The admission process takes place between April 1 and September 19, 2025, via the `admitere.pub.ro` platform. The process includes file validation, evaluation by doctoral supervisors, and an oral interview (September 23–24) for the allocation of MEN (Ministry of Education) scholarships. Enrollment takes place on September 25–26, and the four-year research program begins on October 1, 2025. Candidate evaluation and ranking are handled by two competition committees: Systems Engineering (IS) and Computers and Information Technology (CTI). The doctoral scholarship amount is 3,700 RON/month.
Human Resources and Legislative Framework
The doctoral school is expanding its body of supervisors through new habilitations (Alexandra Cernian, Bogdan Ciubotaru, Tudor Ionescu). Activities are conducted in accordance with the regulations set out in Order of the Minister (O.M.) no. 3020/22.01.2024, and guidance and academic integrity committees are required to include at least one external member. Scholarship Reallocation and Completion of Studies
Retention of the state-funded scholarship is contingent upon academic performance and meeting minimum point thresholds (20 points in Year I, 40 points in Year II, 60 points in Year III). Points are calculated based on published articles (WoS/BDI), patents, mobility periods, research projects, and other academic activities.
The process for completing studies involves distinct stages: initiation of the procedure, anti-plagiarism screening, preliminary committee review, official thesis submission, a transparency period (uploading to the UEFISCDI platform for 90 days), the public defense (announced at least 20–25 days in advance), and final approval by CNATDCU.
Events and Scheduling
Key events for doctoral students include the CSCS25 conference (May 2025) and the presentation of the *Studio et Opere Excellens* Awards. SD-AC meetings are scheduled periodically throughout 2025 to approve committees, update regulations, and handle administrative organization.
